The Love of God

  1. Could we with ink the ocean fill,
    And were the skies of parchment made,
    Were every stalk on earth a quill,
    And every man a scribe by trade;
    To write the love of God above
    Would drain the ocean dry;
    Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
    Though stretched from sky to sky.
  • Refrain:
    Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
    How measureless and strong!
    It shall forevermore endure—
    The saints’ and angels’ song.

  1. One of my favourite hymns of all time, especially with the verse above. Its crazy to realize how measureless and boundless God's love for us is. Yet here I am, often finding myself second guessing if God is present in my life. The fact is that we are broken beings who can't even fathom God's life for us. We need him in every hour of our lives.
